Do you hear that, the melody of the shehnai
The splash of water in the bird bath, quenching thirst,
Under the buttery summer sky
Chirping birds, inked peacocks, dance in the courtyard,
Filling the solitary air with company, alive
Lotuses dance, fish prance,
The fragrant anaar
Adding sweetness to the scene
Chromatic clouds
Kissing the earth in glowing charm.
These are the colours of my dreams.
