One of the first few audio cassettes I owned was of the movie ‘Masoom' with the song ‘Lakdi Ki Kathi’. Being the cultural phenomenon that it was it became the standard fare for all our birthday parties. It reminds me of many summers ago when life was simple and innocent. There is some magic in the song which can’t be described.
I wanted to revive this connection again by narrating this song through simple joyful illustrations. In these images I get such a sense of what was lost and yet feel happy reliving those moments in my ‘all-grown-up’ years.
